The dogs don't want to wear collars, what should we do?

2020-03-07

Not all dogs are willing to wear a collar at first. Many friends' dogs are inevitably nervous and used to wearing collars for the first time. After wearing the collars, they were reluctant to walk and just lay on the ground. How should the owner wear enough collars and what should the dog not do?

The first step is if you encounter a dog that refuses to wear a collar. We don't rush to give it a collar immediately, don't want to let the dog move freely for a while (of course, within their own sight), or interact with the dog for a while. When the dog relaxes and becomes happy, he tries to collar the dog.

Please note that the collar chosen must be the right size and the material must be comfortable. When giving a dog collar, it must be moved quickly, it must be done in the shortest possible time, and it should not hurt the dog's neck.

In the second step, if the dog cannot adapt after wearing the collar, it should not be removed in a hurry. Instead, try stroking the dog's body, arranging its collar, and slowly adapting it to the feel of wearing the collar.

After some time, when the dog adapts to wearing the collar, it will no longer refuse to fear. At this point, you can try hanging on the traction rope and then take the dog out for a walk.
